SUMMARY:
In the role of Security Analyst Level 2, your primary function is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate data. Responsibilities of this position include continual monitoring of security posture, scheduled reporting to security management of the current risk level related to data security, and security product support and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review system activity reports to identify anomalous behavior.

Perform security, application, and system logs review to identify possible security violations or developing threats related to security systems.

Respond to security incidents and document resolution process and provide related forensic data.

Perform scheduled scans to proactively identify new vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with regulations.

Recommend and test system hardening procedures for new and existing network attached assets and applications and report on system compliance with hardening procedures.

Work with Information Technology security team to continually tune security products including, but not limited to Network Based firewalls, Host Based Firewalls, Network IPS, Host Based IPS, Application Whitelisting and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

Work with Information Technology security management to proactively review and test existing security products and evaluate new security products.

Work with Information Technology management to install, configure, and maintain new security products.

Work with Information Technology security management to develop and maintain corporate data security policies and procedures.

Provide reports to Information Technology security management on the status of security.

Track and report application and system vulnerabilities to Information Technology management.

Track and report application and system patch compliance to Information Technology management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge and understanding of networking and communication technologies, including TCP/IP protocol, remote access methods, firewalls and wireless protocols.

Experience with end-point security best practices leveraging NIST, CIS or Microsoft standards preferred.

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+ are preferred.

Certifications such as EC-Council CEH, EC-Council CND are a plus.

Associate’s degree in Information Security or other computer-related field, and three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional level knowledge of common network protocols utilized on corporate networks.

Professional level knowledge of at least two of the following technologies: Networking infrastructure products (routers, switches, wireless), Windows Operating Systems, Security infrastructure products (firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, content filtering).

Familiarity with incident response, computer forensics, ethical hacking and reverse engineering is a plus.

Experience with cloud security such as Office 365 is preferred. Experience in an environment with change management processes.
