Summary
IDEMIA-NSS has an immediate opening for an Security Engineer. This role will mentor and lead others to design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Analyze science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems application to electronic data processing systems. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Develop future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategy, technology migration, and integration and evolution.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and maintains the security and integrity of NSS networks.
- Designs, develops, and implements significant portions of leading edge analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for NSS networks and systems.
- Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy, through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
- Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
- Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
- Supports formal accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, analysis of the results, and the preparation of required reports.
- May provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments.
- Perform daily security operations monitoring tasks in a SIEM
- Perform incident response actions in response to declared incidents
- Operate as key member of a small cybersecurity team supporting corporate security posture
- Participates and interfaces with customer and corporate stakeholders in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.
- May perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer in support of the Technology Control Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Similar Discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a cyber security role
- Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response deployment and administration of Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and VMware are a plus
- Administration of web content filtering or proxy servers
- Administering, monitoring, and traffic analysis for network IDS/IPS solutions such as Cisco Firepower or Zeek sensors
- Experience with administering or using Splunk or Splunk Enterprise Security for system, network, and security monitoring for anomalous or suspicious events.
- Experience conducting vulnerability scans and remediation of findings.
- Experience applying security hardening best practices in Windows and Linux operating systems
Preferred qualifications
- CISSP, GIAC Certifications, or other Cyber Security certifications demonstrating security concepts and network defense are strongly desired
