The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a key position of Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to work in our Bridgewater, VA or Morgantown, WV office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in helping the GCCS-J warfighter accomplish their important mission. The Defense Information System Agency’s mission is to maintain the current client-server environment while moving the system to a cloud-based architecture and modernize the system to comply with a Joint Staff Capability Development Documents.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for ensuring the GCCS-J product baselines are in compliance with all applicable Federal (e.g., National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 and Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), the DoD 8500 (Cybersecurity), 8510 Risk Management Framework (RMF), 8551 Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM), 8520 Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), 8570/8140, DISA Cyber-security requirements, and any other applicable Directives and Instructions requirements.

• Analyzes and defines security requirements for multilevel security (MLS) systems.

• Design, develops, engineers, and integrates solutions to MLS requirements.

• Conducts security audits.

• Generates system-level security documentation.

• Supports the development of System Operation Procedure documents.

• Applies knowledge of IT Governance requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and encryption and decryption capabilities to establish secure solutions.

• Performs risk analysis, including risk assessment processes and procedures.

• Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.

• Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.

• Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements.

• Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.

• Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.

• Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active SECRET level Clearance with ability to obtain a TS level Clearance.

Required Certifications:

• CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on any of the Global Command and Control System Family of Systems to include GCCS-A, GCCS-M or any other Command and Control program for any service component or COCOM.
